A challenge that must be accepted

Two of the most prominent national Valorant content creators team up with other creators to compete against each other in a live showmatch.

The first part of the show was the confrontation of two teams composed of content creators captained by Mixwell and Pereira, the protagonists of the event.

The first part of the show featured a showdown between two teams of content creators,
led by Mixwell and Pereira, the event’s main protagonists.

The votes were collected, and as the progress bar filled, they unlocked handicaps to use against the opposing team.

The most anticipated moment was the intense 1v1 showdown between Mixwell and Pereira.

We also set up a caster booth and an interview area to keep the spectators entertained between games.

We brought this project to life in our new TV studio in Madrid.

PlayStation’s weekly live

late night in constant mutation

A multi-channel format with a focus on video games and mainstream culture with renowned guests from the community.

We developed from scratch the entire show concept alongside PlayStation.

Scripts, creativities and special segments are built especially for each episode.

We created a custom opener for the show with a choreography
with our hosts and guests.

The song that accompanies the opener was also created
ad-hoc for the show.

Why do we call it the mutant program?

Because every show is different, from the look
of the stage to the content we produce.

Each program has different guests.
We integrate them organically into the content of each episode.

We also developed a new and modern visual identity for the show.

We don’t forget the audience and how important
it is to interact with them in real time.

And always with the gamer touch that represents us.

The show is broadcast from the CABAL studios in Madrid with live audience.

The best esports festival

returned to Valencia

Dreamhack returned to Valencia with a schedule full of activities
and stages to enjoy the best esports competitions.

Along with Encom, CABAL was in charge of the planning and build-up of
all the stages for the event (LED screens, PA systems, lights), provision of broadcast equipment, backdrop prints and setup and hiring of esports staff.

For ESL Impact, the international women’s CS:GO circuit, we built a 20m wide 5on5 stage consisting of branded prints, LED screens, lights and PA system.

We were also responsible of the stage build-up of the European stop of ESL Challenger, a tournament within the ESL Pro Tour of CS:GO worldwide.

The event also had an stop of the Starcraft 2 Pro Tour were we built the stage (lights, LED screens and sound equipment).

And finally the European regional finals of the Halo Championship Series were we provided the LED screens,
lights and PA system.

We provided the broadcast equipment needed to setup the control room for ESL Impact.

Dreamhack hired us several operators experts in esports broadcast and up to 24 full broadcast 4K cameras chain for all the live productions during the week.

 On top of the International tournaments we were the providers for the structure, equipment, management and broadcast for the main national stage (Escenario PcComponentes) and the LAN stage for the BYOC hall.

CS:GO esports tournaments, TFT, as well as the first edition
of the FMS Duplas by Urban Roosters.

We also took care of the construction and management of two booths: ASUS Republic of Gamers with NVIDIA and Logitech Gaming.

Building a community

Huawei was looking for a way to engage with users with its new store application: AppGallery.

The main objective was to take users to the new AppGallery making it their main tool to download and manage video games on their mobiles.

CABAL esports was responsible for the analysis of the market, development of the strategy, social media management, influencers campaigns and graphic design services.

After an extensive market and community study, we decided to create a meeting point for the entire AppGallery community and from there inform and offer support to users. We have created the AppGallery community for any user who would like to know more about the application.

We spawned and nurtured the needed social media channels to support this community: Twitter, Facebook and Discord. We also gave support to users who encountered difficulties with the application through these social media channels.

To promote the community we have created more than 50 different promotional art pieces to publish discounts, events or AppGallery ambassadors.

We designed the different arts for special events featured in the application.

We took actions and managed youtubers / influencers who were under the aegis of Huawei to make the community grow and increase the reach and influence of youtubers.

We also created a meeting point for all youtubers affiliated with Huawei to have closer communication.

Every week we collected data on all our actions and we measured the level of uptake of the community. We used a cross reporting system where we collected more than 40 different data streams divided between the different games, community, user support and new user acquisition.

Once the data we collected was analyzed, we adapted our strategy with the community to achieve the best results and give them the best service. Using an agile methodology to quickly change focus and improve our services as fast as possible.

R6 Spain Nationals Season 1

Turn-key project of a professional League for Ubisoft.

This was the first time Ubisoft entered the esports landscape creating their own professional competition. Our main goal was to create a sustainable ecosystem within the Spanish community and to have a League with the highest worldwide standards for Rainbow Six: Siege.

CABAL esports was responsible for the design of the product, the visual identity creation , the execution of the tournament, the broadcast of the matches and the planning and execution of the final event and the social media coverage.

INNOVATION is key.

We are strong believers that one of the pillars for creating excellent content is having a great technical foundation. Enabling the team to tell great stories. 

That’s why, during the preproduction of the League, we took a look at how R6 was broadcast and decided to create a set of tools which allowed better ways of showing the viewers what was going on.

In order to improve the viewer’s experience we created a total of 80 content video pieces.
